The FM Approved Pendent Fire Sprinkler is a critical component in modern fire protection systems, designed to deliver reliable, rapid-response suppression in a wide range of commercial, industrial, and residential settings. As a pendent-type sprinkler, it is suspended from the ceiling, allowing water to discharge downward in a controlled, hemispherical spray pattern. The pendent sprinkler consists of a heat-sensitive element (typically a glass bulb or fusible link), a deflector, and a threaded shank for ceiling installation. The glass bulb contains a colored liquid that expands when heated, shattering at a predetermined temperature (e.g., 68°C/154°F for standard applications). This action releases a seal, allowing pressurized water to flow through the sprinkler head.
