• Fire Suppression System

    Fire suppression system refers to a fire extinguishing system in which the fire extinguishing agent is stored in a pressure vessel in the form of liquid, liquefied gas or gas at ordinary times, and is sprayed in the form of gas (including steam, aerosol) as the fire extinguishing medium during fire extinguishing. It can form a uniform gas concentration in all directions in the protected area, and at least maintain the fire extinguishing concentration for the immersion time specified in the specification, so as to extinguish the space and three-dimensional fire in the protected area. The system consists of a storage container, a container valve, a selector valve, a liquid one-way valve, a nozzle and a valve drive device. Including clean agent suppression system, CO₂ fire suppression system and mixed gas fire suspression system.

Fire Extinguishing Principle
FM-200 primarily extinguishes fires by heat absorption and chemical suppression:

Heat absorption: Rapidly vaporizes upon release, absorbing a large amount of heat and reducing flame temperature.

Chemical Reaction Interruption: Disrupts the chain reaction of free radicals during combustion.

CO2

Carbon dioxide fire extinguishing agent has the characteristics of low toxicity, no pollution to equipment, good insulation performance, and strong fire extinguishing ability. It is a popular gas fire extinguishing product in the domestic and foreign markets, and is also an ideal product to replace halogenated hydrocarbons.

 

Basic Properties:

Fast Fire Extinguishing: CO2 rapidly reduces oxygen concentration at the fire source, rapidly extinguishing the fire.

No Residue: No water stains or dust are left after extinguishing the fire, harming equipment and objects. Suitable for electronic equipment and precision instruments.

Environmentally Friendly: CO2 exists naturally in the air and has no ozone-depleting effect.

Wide Application: Suitable for Class B (flammable liquids) and Class C (electrical equipment) fires.

 

When the fire detector detects a fire, the control system is activated to release high-pressure liquid carbon dioxide. The carbon dioxide vaporizes and quickly fills the protective space, reducing the oxygen content to below 15%, and the flame is extinguished due to lack of oxygen.

IG541 composed of a mixture of nitrogen (N₂), argon (Ar), and carbon dioxide (CO₂) in specific proportions, it's commonly used in gas fire extinguishing systems. It's a colorless, odorless, non-corrosive, and equipment-safe extinguishing medium used in total flooding gas fire extinguishing systems. 

 

Common IG541 mixture ratios are: Nitrogen: Approximately 52%. Argon: Approximately 40%. Carbon Dioxide: Approximately 8%.

 

Dilution: Nitrogen and argon gases reduce the oxygen concentration in a fire to below the level required to sustain combustion (approximately 12-15%), thereby extinguishing the flames.

Respiratory Stimulation: Small amounts of CO₂ stimulate the respiratory center, allowing people to maintain respiratory reflexes in low-oxygen environments, increasing their chances of escape.

Fire Extinguishing Principle
NOVEC 1230 primarily suppresses the continued flame by absorbing heat from the combustion reaction, while also having a certain chemical inhibitory effect.
It is stored in a liquid state and rapidly vaporizes upon release, forming a mixed gas within the protected area, rapidly reducing the fire source temperature and isolating the energy required for combustion.
