Products Description

Twin Inlet Breeching Valve
forede ® Twin Inlet Breeching Valve is an essential piece of equipment in firefighting systems. It is designed to provide a reliable and effective water supply for firefighting operations, ensuring that firefighters have access to ample water when battling blazes.
This valve features two inlet connections, allowing for multiple water sources to be connected simultaneously. This ensures a steady and continuous flow of water to the fire, which is crucial in controlling and extinguishing flames. The dual inlets also provide flexibility in water supply options, giving firefighters the ability to tap into different sources to ensure a sufficient water supply.
forede ® Twin Inlet Breeching Valve is constructed of high-quality materials that are durable and reliable in demanding firefighting conditions. It is designed to withstand high pressures and temperatures, ensuring that it can perform effectively in emergency situations. The valve is also easy to operate, with simple controls that allow firefighters to adjust the water flow as needed.

FAQ
1. What is a two-way breeching inlet?
A two-way breeching inlet is a type of fire protection equipment that is commonly used in buildings to provide a connection point for fire hoses.
Normally there are two types of inlet breeching available, one is 2-way another is 4-way. The 2-way version has 2 x 2½" Instantaneous male non-return valve inlets and a 4″ outlet while the 4-way inlet breeching has 4 x 2½" Instantaneous male non-return valve inlets and a 6 outlet along with 1″ drain valve.
3. Where is the breeching inlet located?
Breeching inlets should be located no more than 18 metres from the fire appliance access road and not more than 30 metres from the nearest external hydrant. A check valve is installed between the topmost landing valve and the tank to prevent back flow of water from the downcomer into the tank.
4. Difference between breeching inlet and siamese connection.
Breeching inlet and siamese connection are both essential tools for fighting fires, but they have different functions. A breeching inlet is a connection point that allows firefighters to pump water into a building's internal fire system, whereas a siamese connection is used to combine multiple hoses to supply extra water to a fire. Though the two may look similar, they serve distinct purposes, and both are critical for effective firefighting. By understanding the differences and uses of these tools, firefighters can better protect buildings and save lives.
