forede® suction strainer is a filter or sieve attached to the inlet end of a suction hose (or suction line) to prevent debris, silt, or large particles from being sucked into a pump when drafting (drawing) water from an external source (pond, pool, tank, etc.). Useing a Storz-type fitting/coupling - ensuring quick, secure connection to hoses or pumps that are built for Storz coupling. The strainer body itself often is aluminum alloy; the strainer grid typically stainless steel.
