forede® Mobile Foam Unit is a piece of firefighting equipment designed to create and deliver large volumes of foam to control and extinguish fires involving flammable liquids, such as gasoline, diesel or alcohol. It is typically mounted on a fire truck or trailer and has a pump, foam concentrate tank, and delivery nozzles. The MFU is operated by trained firefighters who deploy the foam at the base of the fire, creating a blanket that smothers the flames and prevents re-ignition. The use of foam is particularly effective for fires involving flammable liquids as it can reduce the release of flammable vapors, preventing explosions or flash fires.It has been developed for the rapid deployment of foam extinguishing system to fires in high-risk places such as loading terminals, oil storage areas, boiler rooms, engine compartments, and areas susceptible to chemical spills.
