AFFF foam sprinkler is a specialized fire protection device that uses Aqueous Film-Forming Foam (AFFF) to suppress flammable liquid fires, particularly Class B fires (such as fuel, oil, and other hydrocarbons). These sprinklers combine the cooling effect of water with the smothering and sealing effect of foam to quickly control or extinguish fires.
Fire Class: Primarily effective for Class B fires, but also provides some protection against Class A fires (solids).
Foam Type: Uses AFFF (1%, 3%, or 6% concentrate depending on design).
Discharge Method: Sprays a mixture of foam and water to form a film that suppresses vapors and prevents reignition.
