Corrosion resistance of materials
(1) The body and bonnet of the wet alarm valve should be made of materials with corrosion resistance not less than that of cast iron. The valve seat shall be made of materials with corrosion resistance not less than that of bronze.
(2) The rotating or sliding parts of the wet alarm valve should be made of corrosion-resistant materials such as bronze, brass, and austenitic stainless steel. If materials with corrosion resistance lower than the above requirements are used, a lining set made of the above corrosion resistant materials should be added where there is relative movement.
(3) The filter screen of the retarder is made of materials with corrosion resistance not less than that of brass.
(4) The nozzle and filter of the hydraulic alarm bell should be made of materials with corrosion resistance not less than that of brass.
