Overview
The forede® FRD-FHV fire hose cabinets are generally fabricated from carbon steel material. Aluminium or stainless steel materials are available upon request. The door hinges are either riveted or welded to the cabinet and swings out 180 degree from left to right. The fire hose cabinet comes with viewing panel design at the door to show the equipment installed inside. The quality of workmanship and finishes are carefully planned and executed from the initial stage of preparing the material, fabrication, up to the surface preparation and powder coating.
The standard finishes of the carbon steel and aluminium cabinets are "Red" epoxy/polyester powder coated and oven baked. Stainless steel Type 304 or 316 cabinets come with good quality. Other finishes available on request.

The fire hose cabinet shall be installed between three and five feet from the ground.
Q: What are the devices found inside a fire hose cabinet?
The fire hose cabinet is a steel box designed to safely store fire equipment such as fire hose rack assembly, fire extinguisher, and fire hose reel. Fire hose cabinets are usually mounted in areas where they can be accessed conveniently for firefighting. They protect the equipment inside from theft, vandalism, and dirt.

The fire hose cabinet location must be easily seen and easy access by fire fighters such as around fire escapes or in front of lifts.
Q: What is the clearance around a fire hose cabinet?
Only fire protection equipment should be stored in cabinets and closets. 2" of clearance must be provided between any part of the fire hose cabinet (excluding the door) and a hose connection at all times-even when the valve is fully opened.
Q: How do you maintain a fire hose cabinet?
1.Inspect the hose for wear or damage after each use.
2.Roll and store the hose out of the sun and in a protected area.
3.Let hoses dry, at least a little bit.
4.Store rolled hoses in a secure, flat area.
5.Make sure hoses are always in an area you can quickly access, just in case there is an emergency.
