Overview

forede® water power oscillating device is a hydraulic mechanism installed between a fire monitor and its mounting flange. As water flows through the monitor during operation, part of the water pressure drives an internal gear or turbine mechanism that slowly rotates the monitor horizontally.

Instead of maintaining a fixed stream direction, the monitor automatically oscillates across a preset angle, ensuring wider and more uniform water or foam distribution without requiring manual operation or electrical controls.

Q: Q6: What media can pass through the device?
Clear fire water, mixed foam solution (3% / 6% foam concentrate compatible).
Not applicable for media with a large amount of solid sediment, mud, corrosive chemical liquid, which will abrade the turbine and gear assembly. A filter is recommended to be installed upstream.

Q: What flange connection standards are optional?
Standard options for export: PN16, BS4504, ANSI Class 150; customized flange size according to customer pipeline requirements.

Q: What certifications can the product provide?
Main mainstream certifications: GB 19156 domestic standard certificate, UL/FM, NFPA 1964, BV factory inspection certificate, IACS supporting documents for marine projects.

Q: What are the common faults and causes during operation?
Monitor cannot swing automatically
Low inlet water pressure; blocked turbine runner by impurities; limit plate stuck.
Swing speed too slow or unstable
Flow regulating valve closed too small; pipeline pressure fluctuates violently; internal seal aging leads to water leakage.
Water leakage from the oscillating box
Wear of shaft sealing ring; loose bolt connection; casting crack caused by excessive water hammer.
