Products Description

Overview
forede® MAS Ground Monitor Fire Nozzle (also called a Portable Fire Monitor or Ground Fire Monitor) is a high-capacity firefighting device designed to deliver large volumes of water or foam from a stationary position on the ground. It's commonly used in industrial fires, petrochemical plants, airports, and large outdoor fires where handheld hoses are insufficient.
Water (or foam solution) enters the monitor through the inlet.
The flow is directed through the nozzle, which can be adjusted to jet or fog spray.
The operator controls direction (horizontal/vertical) and pattern for optimal coverage.
When foam is required, a foam inductor and foam nozzle attachment can be added.

FAQ
Q: What is a ground monitor fire nozzle?
A ground monitor fire nozzle is a portable, high-capacity firefighting device designed to deliver large volumes of water or foam from the ground. It can be manually positioned and operated to control large fires, especially in open areas or industrial environments.
Q: How does a ground monitor nozzle work?
It operates by connecting to a water supply (such as a fire hose or hydrant), then discharging water or foam at high pressure through an adjustable nozzle. The nozzle pattern can be changed from a solid jet to a wide fog, depending on firefighting needs.
Q: What are the main components of a ground monitor?
Inlet connection (single or double)
Swivel joints for horizontal and vertical movement
Locking mechanism or stop pin
Nozzle (adjustable or fixed type)
Base with ground spikes or stabilizers for stability
Q: What is the typical flow rate of a ground monitor fire nozzle?
Flow rates usually range from 500 to 3000 GPM (1900–11500 L/min), depending on the model, inlet size, and operating pressure.
Q: What materials are commonly used?
Most ground monitors are made from:
Aluminum alloy (lightweight and corrosion-resistant)
Bronze or stainless steel (for durability in harsh or marine environments)
