Foam Chamber is used in one of the most common application to protect vertical fixed roof (cone) liquid storage tanks, with or without internal floating roof with the low expansion foam system. The application of foam is on the basis that the risk comprises the total surface area of the fuel.

Operation

When the foam mixture flows through the nozzle of the generator, a diffused atomized jet is formed, and negative pressure is generated around it, thereby sucking in a large amount of air to form air foam. Air foam is fed into the storage tank through foam nozzles and baffles, drips down the tank wall, and smoothly covers the surface of the combustion liquid for fire fighting.

Maintenance

1)The filter of Foam Chamber should be cleaned regularly to ensure that the air passage is unblocked;

2)The sealing glass should be checked regularly, and if it is broken, it should be replaced in time to prevent the gas in the storage tank from evaporating and flammable gas leakage.
