How do Forede's foam nozzles work?
Forede's foam nozzles work by mixing a foam solution with air to create a foam - rich substance for firefighting. For example, in the LOW EXPANSION BRANCH PIPE FOAM NOZZLE PQB series, the nozzle is designed to aspirate air into the foam solution. The foam solution is usually in a 3% or 6% proportion. The valve and nozzle components are carefully engineered to ensure a proper mix of the solution and air, resulting in a foam with a certain expansion ratio, such as ≥5 times in the case of PQB series. This foam can effectively smother fires, especially those involving flammable liquids, by creating a blanket that cuts off the oxygen supply to the fire.
