forede® JPAAF550 automatic fire hose reel automatic fire hose reel is a fire‑safety device used to store and quickly deploy a fire hose connected to a building's water supply. Unlike manual reels, automatic versions open the water valve automatically when you pull the hose out a few turns, which speeds up deployment in an emergency and reduces the steps needed to start fighting a fire.
A typical automatic fire hose reel consists of:
- Hose Drum – The cylindrical drum around which the hose is wound. It may include a spring or motorized retraction system.
- Hose – Usually made of durable, flexible material resistant to pressure and heat. Standard lengths range from 15–30 meters.
- Nozzle – Adjustable nozzle that controls the water flow and spray pattern (jet or spray).
- Reel Frame – Supports the drum and hose, typically made of steel or aluminum for durability.
