How to Use the Manual Fire Monitor With SS304&Brass Nozzle?

 

#### 1. **Preparation**
- Ensure the fire monitor is securely installed on a stable water supply platform.
- Check the connections between the water supply hose and the fire monitor to avoid leaks.
- Confirm the nozzle type (SS304 stainless steel or brass) is properly attached and free from any blockages.

#### 2. **Adjusting Position**
- Adjust the **horizontal angle** of the monitor by rotating it within the customized range (default 0° to 330°). This allows you to target fire with wide coverage.
- Adjust the **elevation angle** between -45° (downward) to +75° (upward) depending on fire location and height.

#### 3. **Flow Rate and Pressure Setup**
- Connect your water or foam source and ensure the working pressure is at 0.8 MPa for optimal performance.
- The maximum working pressure the system supports is 1.6 MPa, so avoid exceeding this limit to ensure safety and durability.
- Select the proper flow rate based on your model (1200, 1800, 2400 LPM or adjustable for WFS1.SS040).

#### 4. **Operating the Monitor**
- Slowly open the water supply valve to initiate flow through the monitor.
- Observe the stream distance and adjust angle and position to maximize the throw range; water streams should reach ≥50 to 65 meters, and foam streams between 45 to 60 meters.
- Use the manual control handles to smoothly maneuver the monitor horizontally and vertically to follow the fire's movement.

#### 5. **Firefighting Use**
- For water application, ensure the stream is directed at the base of the fire for maximum extinguishing effect.
- For foam use, maintain a consistent flow to cover the fire surface thoroughly, taking advantage of the nozzle's material properties for effective foam discharge.
- Monitor the fire status continuously and adjust the monitor angles for precision targeting.

#### 6. **Post-Use Care**
- After firefighting, close the water supply valve slowly to avoid pressure spikes.
- Rotate the monitor back to a neutral or storage position.
- Inspect the SS304 stainless steel or brass nozzle for any debris or wear and perform cleaning and maintenance as necessary to guarantee longevity.
