Overview
forede® Water oowered oscillating monitor is a self-oscillating firefighting monitor that uses the energy of flowing water to automatically sweep the discharge stream across a preset angle without requiring electricity, hydraulic power, or manual operation. Designed for industrial fire protection, mining, dust suppression, cooling applications, and large-area hazard protection, it provides reliable automatic coverage while minimizing manpower requirements.
Unlike electrically driven oscillating monitors, a water-powered oscillating monitor operates entirely through the hydraulic energy generated by the water passing through the monitor. This makes it especially suitable for hazardous environments where electrical equipment is undesirable or unavailable.

Q: What does "oscillating" mean for this monitor?
Oscillating refers to automatic horizontal back-and-forth sweeping. The sweeping range can be limited and locked manually on site. Vertical pitch angle is manually adjustable and lockable separately.
Q: Is this monitor same as electric oscillating fire monitor?
No. Electric monitors need power cables and control panels; water powered type works with water pressure only, no electrical components inside, intrinsically safe for explosive hazardous areas.
Q: How does the self-swing mechanism work without electricity?
A small portion of inlet water diverts to drive the built-in water turbine. The turbine transfers power to reduction gears to push the monitor head to swing horizontally. Most water flows out as main fire extinguishing jet.
Q: What is the standard horizontal sweeping angle range?
Standard adjustable sweep range: 0° to 120°. Full 360° horizontal rotation is available when the swing limit is fully released.
