Foam Chamber
FOREDE low expansion foam chamber is a device used in firefighting to disperse foam over a large area quickly and efficiently. Foam chambers are usually used in conjunction with a foam concentrate and water supply to suppress and extinguish fires by smothering the flames and reducing heat. Low expansion foam chambers are designed to produce a large, slow-moving bubble that can cover a wide area, making them ideal for use in warehouses, hangars, and other large spaces. The low expansion foam chamber is attached to a pipe or hose near the ceiling of the area to be protected, and foam is discharged through openings in the chamber, creating a dense foam blanket on the floor or exposed surfaces. This type of foam is also called Class A foam, which is used for fighting fires in ordinary combustibles such as wood, paper, or cloth.
