Overview

An elevated manual fire monitor is a specialized fixed fire-fighting device designed for high-position, long-range and large-flow fire extinguishing. Different from ordinary ground fire monitors, it is equipped with an elevated support structure of fixed specifications, with common heights ranging from 10 feet to 40 feet. Unlike portable firefighting equipment, elevated monitors are permanently installed and connected to a water or foam supply system. The monitor is positioned above ground level to provide a wider field of operation and enhanced coverage of protected areas.

The operator manually adjusts the monitor's horizontal and vertical movements using handles, handwheels, or gearing mechanisms. Once aimed at the fire, the monitor discharges a concentrated stream capable of reaching significant distances.
