Foam Generator Installation:
1. The vertical generator is vertically fixedly installed on the upper part of Class A, B and C liquid storage tanks.
2. The generator should not be installed on the top of the storage tank. When used in external floating roof storage tanks, it should be installed on the foam deflector at the top of the storage tank.
When installing the generator, holes should be opened on the tank wall first, and enough space should be left on the upper part of the tank. The inlet of the generator should be higher than the liquid level line of the tank to a certain size, so as not to affect the foam quality and foam formation, and prevent liquid out of the generator port.
Air foam generator installation precautions:
1. If the generator is used to extinguish fires involving water-soluble Class A, B, and C liquids, the guide plate set is not suitable and should be replaced with other suitable buffer devices (such as drop chute, foam chute, etc.).
2. The nozzle of the generator cannot be blocked by debris. Before the foam system is installed and the water spray test is completed, the nozzle can be removed, the sealing glass is blocked by an iron plate, and then the pipeline is rinsed, and the nozzle is installed after ensuring that there is no debris in the pipeline, and then the foam system is debugged .
3. In order to prevent the gas in the storage tank from leaking from the generator, a sealing glass is installed at the outlet of the generator shell group. There are fragile scratches on one side of the sealing glass, and the scratched side should be installed towards the exit. The sealing glass will be broken when it is impacted by the 0.2MPa pressure mixture. The sealing glass should be installed after the foam system is debugged. Every time the sealing glass is damaged due to one use or other reasons, it should be replaced in time.
4. The generator shell is assembled with a rainproof cover and a filter screen to prevent sundries from entering, which should not be missed during installation.
5. The generator is installed on the tank wall with a small diameter. If it is difficult to seal the connection between the connecting flange plane and the arc surface of the tank wall, it is possible to add gaskets or weld the connecting flange on the tank wall. way.
6. In order to ensure the safety of the generator, a supporting frame should be provided under the generator. The generator and piping may be damaged due to possible rupture or deformation of the storage tank in the event of a fire. In order to reduce damage, a section of metal hose that can act as a buffer should be installed in the generator inlet pipeline or other measures should be taken.
