Fire Hydrant Pillar

Body/Pillar – The vertical pipe structure visible above ground.

Outlet Nozzles – Typically 3 outlets (2 x 2.5" hose outlets + 1 x 5.5" pumper outlet).

Bonnet/Cap – Top part covering the stem and operating mechanism.

Operating Nut – Used to open or close the hydrant with a hydrant wrench.

Main Valve – Controls water flow from the underground water main.
