Hydrant French Coupling Types

French hydrants use specific coupling standards:

Guillemin coupling (Symmetrical): Common in France, also known as "French coupling." Often sized DN65 or DN100 outlets, typically equipped with 2 symmetrical outlets.

Used for both suction and discharge hoses.

Symmetrical design: no male/female ends – both sides are identical.

Sizes: Typically DN40, DN65, DN80, DN100.

Connection: Coupled by engaging and rotating with a quarter-turn.

Locking: Often secured with locking rings or clamps for pressurized applications.
