Products Description

Overview
forede® Dual Bladder Tank Foam Mixing Set is a specialized foam proportioning system used in industrial fire protection applications. It typically consists of two foam bladder tanks, a foam proportioner, connecting pipelines, valves and necessary accessories.
The system is designed to store foam concentrate and proportion it into a pressurized water supply at a predetermined mixing ratio, producing foam solution for firefighting.
Dual bladder tank foam mixing sets are particularly suitable for large industrial facilities where a reliable foam concentrate supply and continuous firefighting capability are required.

FAQ
Q: What is the working pressure and test pressure of the dual bladder tank set?
Standard operating pressure range: 0.6 MPa ~ 1.2 MPa.
Hydraulic strength test pressure: 1.5 MPa.
Tightness sealing test pressure: 1.32 MPa.
We can design and manufacture higher pressure-rated units for offshore, marine or special industrial projects.
Q: What materials are adopted for tank body and internal bladder?
Tank shell: Standard Q235B carbon steel with anti-corrosion epoxy coating. 304 / 316 stainless steel tanks are optional for coastal, offshore and highly corrosive environments.
Inner bladder: EPDM rubber as standard, compatible with most common foam concentrates. NBR or other special elastomer bladders can be selected to match specific foam chemicals.
Piping & valves: Standard carbon steel or stainless steel 304, customizable.
Q: Does the dual bladder tank set support automatic tank switching?
The standard configuration adopts manual switching via isolating butterfly/ball valves, which brings high reliability and low failure rate.
For intelligent fire protection systems, we can upgrade the package with solenoid valves, pressure transmitters, level switches and electric control cabinet to realize automatic tank switching.
Q: Can I fill different foam types or different brands of foam concentrate into the two bladders separately?
It is not recommended. Even though the foam liquids are stored in two independent bladders, residual liquid in shared manifolds and pipelines may cause cross-contamination when switching tanks. Incompatible foam mixtures will lead to precipitation, poor foam expansion ratio, low extinguishing efficiency and permanent bladder damage.
Both tanks should store the same type and same brand of foam concentrate. If you intend to change foam agent, fully drain, flush and inspect the whole piping and bladders first, and obtain compatibility confirmation from your foam supplier.
