What activates a deluge system?
The primary trigger for a deluge system is a fire detection device, such as a smoke detector, heat detector, or flame detector. These devices are strategically placed throughout the protected area to detect the presence of fire as soon as possible. Once a fire is sensed, the detector sends a signal to the fire alarm control panel.
The control panel is the brain of the deluge system. It receives signals from the fire detectors and processes them to determine if a fire is present. If the control panel confirms a fire, it sends a signal to activate the deluge valve.
